The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office got a special visit from a special little girl. Eleven-year-old Rosalyn Baldwin of Hammond, Louisiana, has been on a mission to spread love, hope, and joy to many law enforcement officers across the country. During this visit, Rosalyn made her way to Bernalillo County, New Mexico, where Sheriff Manuel Gonzales III had the pleasure and honor of deputizing Rosalyn as an honorary deputy of the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

So far, Rosalyn and her family have been to 37 out of the 50 states spreading the message of love for hugs. Rosalyn’s mission is to unite communities by demonstrating her sincere love and appreciation, for those who have committed their lives to serve and protect the people of our nation.

Chris Voros was the South Bend Police officer that was driving along Lafayette Boulevard when the adorable kitten darted into the road in front of his patrol car. Officer Voros then got out of his car to try and help the cat. However, the kitty camped out underneath his car for a while. After a few attempts of “here, kitty, kitty” and trying to lure the cat with a stick Officer Voros was helped out by a few bystanders and the cat was successfully rescued.
