In response to these concerns, Chief Corley shares his experience from Michigan City, a city known for its heavy snowfall. "This year, we had a record high of three feet of snow for a week in one event...But those are things that we were proactive about, making sure that we put some measures in place so that we wouldn’t have those problems." 

Michigan City’s approach involved regular checks on the technology and community involvement in maintaining the ALPR units. This proactive strategy ensures that ALPR camera systems remain operational despite challenging conditions, underscoring their reliability as a long-term investment.
